Marissa Davis

Marissa Davis​​ is the author of My Name & Other Languages I Am Learning How to Speak (Jai-Alai Books, 2020). 

In 2023, Davis was a recipient of a NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship. In the following year, she received a Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship. Also the winner of Cave Canem’s 2019 Toi Derricotte and Cornelius Eady Chapbook Prize, Davis is from Paducah, Kentucky, and lives in Brooklyn, New York.
